United States Army issued General Purpose (GP) Large Military Portable Field Tent. These tents are designed to be used for field command centers, temporary barracks or forward operating bases--but they can be used for just about anything.

These are the same tents that were used in Iraq for troops during combat operations. This tent is from that era and is in very good condition with slight normal wear and tear- few small holes; easily repairable.

Measures 18' wide by 52' long and 12' high at ridgeline. Able to withstand all types weather & strong winds if installed properly. NOTE: only the TENT is for sale in these pictures--NOT the contents.

The vinyl tent outer body. A cotton insulation liner which is optional to use. 3 main wood support beams that run down the center with approx. 18 outer wooden support poles. Includes 2' long metal auger stakes and some wooden stakes.

Ropes & tension handles for each pole. 2- 6'ft tall doors-- one on each end. Chimney chute for military stove or heater (not included). Several plastic and/or screened windows with canvas roll-down flaps to cover. You will need to have some sort of large truck with a ramp or a flatbed trailer on which to transport and a way to load all of the components. The easiest method for loading would be some sort of lift. Without a lift, we estimate that it would require at least four strong, able-bodied men to load. The tent itself is currently dismantled, rolled and resting on a wood pallet. The liner is also rolled and is on another wood pallet. There is a third pallet with a wooden box that contains the augers, ropes and stakes.

The poles are bundled loosely. Assembly will obviously be required by new owner. He was able to set it up by himself, but says that it is easier with at least 2 people. All vintage & used items are described with integrity to the best of my knowledge. Measurements are approximate in listing.
