Please see full listing for item condition. Antique Gilded Military Buttons-York/Lancaster Reg- Original Case-Butcher & Webb. A set of 6 beautifully made military buttons with clips. Each button is gilded brass with a silver plated tiger and tudor rose. The tiger and rose represent the York & Lancaster Regiment that formed in 1881 as part of the Childers Reform by amalgamating the 65th foot and 84th foot. This line of infantry is renowned for fighting in Egypt in the 2nd Boer War and both the first & second World Wars. Original fitted blue case with gold. The case has an inner golden lining with the jewellery makers name and address.
