For sale here is a genuine 1984 British Army issued CWC (Cabot Watch Company) G10 "Fatboy" Quartz military watch, in excellent mint condition for an actual military issued watch, with new Swiss made Renata battery and green NATO strap. These watches have been issued to serving members of the British Army in 1984. Accordingly, there is minor evidence of previous use, such as slight scuffs to the case or glass, but is in mint condition for military issued watch. Has had a brand new Swiss made Renata battery fitted, and is keeping excellent Quartz time and in full working order.

Comes on brand new and unused Admiralty Green nylon 19mm NATO strap. They have fully military issue markings on the back as follows. > "Broad arrow" denoting Ministry of Defence/Crown property. The NATO Stock Number (NSN) 0555/6645-99 comprises three parts.

The first is the W10 MoD code which means the watch was issued to the Army. 6645 is the NATO equipment code for a Time Measuring Instrument. 99 is the NATO UK country code.

The number beneath is the item number which refers to this particular model of watch. The 5 digit number beneath that is the serial number of the watch and the two digit number at the bottom, 84 for 1984, the year of issue.

This is the last year the earlier and rarer "FATBOY" were issued. Below is a bit more information about the Cabot Watch Company G10 watch. CWC was founded in 1972 and produced watches for all branches of the British armed services. Their range included mechanical and quartz chronographs, divers watches and general issue service watches. In this latter category, the CWC G10 is perhaps the most iconic and well known.

The CWC G10 first appeared in 1980. The watch face was designed for simplicity and clarity and this model in its various incarnations was supplied to the Ministry of Defence for more than 20 years. From 1987 the watch was fitted with the ETA/ESA 955.114 seven jewel quartz movement. The definitive military watch, supplied to MOD over many years for issue to servicemen.

First issued early 1980's. Swiss-made using Swiss parts to extremely high standards.
