The crew tent is one of the few military tents one person can set up fairly easily you set out the tent itself flat then open up the pole setup (above the tent you just laid flat), the poles are all connected to themselves they lock into place(looks like a spider when done) there are 4 pins and they almost look like stakes attached at the 4 corners of the tent these pins go into the 4 bottom ends of the tent frame tubing about halfway up the tent there are rope ties that hook into metal hooks on the frame and one more center tie; then match the stove jacks on the same side for the tent and the fly; drape the fly over the frame; hook the fly at the four corners. 10' X 10' Freestanding Military 4-5 man Soldier Tent. The Soldier Crew Tent (SCT) was originally developed to provide environmental protection for the billeting of combat vehicle crews.

The SCT is a lightweight, durable, single frame, single hub tent. The tent body is suspended from the frame in a canopy style. An over-cover(rain-fly) lies on top of the frame to provide an air gap for added insulation. A cold weather cotton liner is also provided. The SCT is approximately 53 inches high, weighs 97 pounds with bag and fits up to five soldiers comfortably(very little stuff inside) with 110 square feet floor space.

Set up is accomplished in less than five minutesIf you know what you are doin. A 4 stove pipe opening is included for use with a standard military heater. When the need requires just a little more interior space and durability than a lightweight nylon back packing style or the new larger MGPTS is too big this tent may fit the need. This tent mission Multi season and will hold up in most environments. There is plenty of screening and vents with the protection of the weather resistant fly.
