Panoramic photo ARMY ORDNANCE EXHIBIT Caldwell NJ 1919 military surplus guns WWI
Rare panoramic photograph of an ARMY ORDNANCE EXHIBIT, Rifle Range, CALDWELL, NEW JERSEY, 1919. A fantastic array of weapons on display, with signs describing each item, one or two of which are readable (Tractor Caisson Mark VII, army ordnance 10 ton trailer, and bits and pieces of other signs with a magnifying glass) - cannons, large guns, field artillery, bombs, shells, tanks, trailers, etc; left of center is a recruiter tent with an Uncle Sam "I Want You for the US Army" sign out front. Silver gelatin; measures 24x8 inches, blank on the back. Condition: VG (I'm realizing I didn't dust it off before I took the photos, so the light-but-large spots in top areas are a bit lighter than they appear here; 1-inch tear at top edge, two 1/2-inch tears at other edges, corner chip, small area of discoloring/scar to lower-right corner, some scuffs and dust to right margin area, two wrinkles near right side, some small spots along bottom area; on the reverse the spots appear larger). We are always happy to combine multiple items. WE NEVER USE STOCK PHOTOS - all images are of actual items. WE USUALLY USE MULTIPLE IMAGES. We grade all items conservatively, and when grading record albums we follow the Goldmine Record Guide.
