Two Ex-Military HETRA TEMPEST laptops pentium 233. HETRA secure Solutions Model 425 Notebook Computer This pair of government / army surplus tempest laptops came from a surplus dealer in the midlands. There is one power-supply for them and a spare connector in case you want to run them both. The power-supply is a universal PC type so easily available.

They are 233MHz pentium machines with 65536k of memory. The main hard-discs were removed probably when they were taken out of service, but the original 520MB callunacard PCMCIA type III hard-disc-drives are still fitted. There are also a CD drive and a floppy drive in each computer. I have booted these to DOS using a floppy disc, and the screens and keyboards seem to be working. No other tests have been done other than to see if they get that far!

If you are a PC-Expert and know your way around these things you may even be. Able to get an earlier version of Windows or LINUX running on these.....

On the back are connectors for video, keyboard/mouse, printer, and. And of course the power connector. As you can see from the photos these are (except for the power connector). The usual D-types with tempest-shielded removable covers. One of the computers is missing the small cover over the PCMCIA cards, the battery / Cover and extra serial port card.

These would be a nice display in the back of a military command vehicle etc. If you would like more details about this please ask nice and early.
