Vintage 1959 Dutch Army (Koninklijke Landmacht) "Double Face" Heavy Cotton Sateen Field Cargo Pants Up for sale is an incredibly preserved, authentic pair of 1959 Dutch Military "Double Face" Field Cargo Trousers, manufactured by the historic military contractor A. Dated explicitly 1959 on the highly legible internal waistband stamp, these trousers represent the pinnacle of 1950s post-Korean War / early Cold War European military tailoring. They are famously dubbed "Double Face" due to their exceptionally heavy, thick dual-layered cotton sateen construction, offering unrivaled durability and a beautiful structured drape. Often compared directly to the iconic French M-47 cargo pants, these feature an ultra-high waist, beautiful aged brown buttons, asymmetrical oversized thigh cargo pockets with angled flaps, button-flap rear pockets, and buttoned side waist-adjuster tabs to dial in the fit.
