Does have wear from use, storage and age. This measures roughly 30" x 17.5" x 13. A nice ebayer let me know the following. Camp lee became fort lee when it was made a permanent base in 1950.
So foot locker predates that. The initials i see at the top of the trunk, what are they?It is my guess that this particular trunk belonged to one of the school houses located at camp lee during ww2. That would explain its more durable build the standard footlocker of the 1940s. Also the diagrams are common in military school houses where your stuff will be inspected frequently.
Even today there was a similar diagram for how my wall locker was to be displayed at the NCO ACADEMY. THAT is a very interesting piece as it is not standard army issue.
